DECODE Insomnia: The Recipe for Good Sleep

insomnia newsletter parents Feb 15, 2022

It’s common to feel like you’ve exhausted all the options when it comes to helping your teen sleep and to believe that nothing will help.

While insomnia can be sneaky, sometimes it’s just a matter of knowing all of the pieces of the puzzle that can fuel insomnia so that you know exactly what needs to be addressed.

Put another way, you need the recipe for good sleep.

Luckily, the recipe consists of just three things:

  1. It needs to be the right time to sleep based on the current timing of the body clock.
  2. There needs to be enough biological drive (or pressure) for sleep.
  3. The body and mind need to be able to power down.
