3. Dr. Elyse Dubo and How to Empower and Stay Connected to Your Teen
Today, you'll hear from my first guest Dr. Elyse Dubo, a youth psychiatrist with 30 years of experience working with teens and their parents.
I've known Elyse since my residency when she supervised me in my last year of training. At the time, I was struck by her unique and empowering approach in working with young people. Elyse is also the mother of three daughters in their teen and young adult years. She has built close, connected relationships with them and they are thriving. In this interview, we talk about what she's learned in her career as a youth psychiatrist, how she has shifted her practice to combine coaching and therapeutic strategies, and the two key ingredients for a good relationship with your teen.
